I have always loved photographic images and the stories they tell. Because of the captivating power photographs have, a love and appreciation for the art of photography has grown and developed in me and I have (hopefully!) expressed this in my photos.

 

Moments are fleeting and so many of them need freezing in time, preserved for eternity, for others to take pleasure in, witness the story of or appreciate the art of. So much can be felt through a photograph; they have the power to cause joy and despair, longing and hope, startle and comfort. It is this ability, in a single moment, to have such an impact on emotions I find truly remarkable and I admire, and aspire to, the photographers who have the ability to do this so effectively.  

 

For me, at this moment in time, I enjoy going out into the big, wide world photographing things which draw me in, even things others may not appreciate the beauty of, such as a snail shell graveyard or a telegraph pole losing a battle with nature. I don’t look for anything specific, I have no one style or theme, I have no messages I wish to convey, other than I find the planet and its inhabitants to be beautiful, wondrous and inspiring and, in my very much amateur photographer status, I wanted to share how I see the world and hope you enjoy sharing my views and captured moments.
